Susye Greenwood, MHC-LP
My goal as a psychotherapist is to support my clients in resolving pain and inner conflict, in order to achieve their full potential. This journey involves exploring present-day struggles related to work, romantic love, family, and friendships and understanding the past they are rooted in. It also calls for learning to identify and process powerful emotions.
I work to create a safe, respectful space for clients to experience their feelings and understand their thought process. I approach psychotherapy from an integrative perspective and use tools from various models including psycho-dynamic, cognitive behavioral, narrative and mindfulness. I have experience working with people who are coming to terms with a variety of career and identity issues including, gender and sexual orientation. As a former photojournalist with over 15 years experience in the field, I understand the creative process and the blocks that many individuals experience. In addition, my experience lives in alleviating symptoms of depression, anxiety, mania and substance abuse.
