My therapeutic style is collaborative, compassionate, and direct. I believe that strong relationships are at the core of a meaningful life, and therapy can be an illuminating context to build trust and connection. I strive to co-create a space that feels nurturing and bold so we can explore personal challenges and seek meaning, balance, and a sense of aliveness.
I lead with a narrative therapy/psychodynamic approach while incorporating attachment theory, internal family systems, and cognitive behavioral therapy. I believe that the body holds stories and sensations that greatly inform how we feel, think, and connect with ourselves and others, therefore I also include somatic-focused interventions in sessions, if applicable and desired. I find integrating a variety of approaches to be most beneficial, and I welcome conversations about what is/what is not working.
My areas of focus include sexuality, gender, non-traditional relationships/families, acute and complex trauma, grief, justice involvement/incarceration, substance misuse, and perinatal mental health. I am committed to applying an anti-oppressive, intersectional lens to my work, and I am honored to support each person’s journey toward greater autonomy and liberation.
