Jesse Sarlin, LCSW
Adults, Adolescents, & Children
In my sessions I work with individuals to understand and clarify their sense of self, honest emotions, and how to live in accordance with what they may need to thrive. I often set goals with my clients and focus our work on issues as they become relevant, for example developing healthy relationships, addressing complicated family histories, and improving honest and effective communication. With compassionate listening and understanding I help my clients develop ways to manage and treat distressing challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, and traumatic stress.
My approach is collaborative, holistic, and offers an eclectic mix of practices I've found particularly helpful. I'm trained in psychodynamic therapy and draw influence from relational, trauma-informed, and behavioral methods. In my sessions I work to cultivate a space that is warm and empathetic, where my clients feel safe, respected, and heard.
Beginning therapy can be stress inducing in and of itself. Please feel free to contact me and I’d be happy to answer any questions or discuss scheduling an intake session to talk more.
