Adults, Adolescents, & Couples
I believe that each individual client is the expert on their own experience. My goal in therapy is to help people clarify what they want and how they feel best expressing themselves in the world.
I use a psychodynamic approach; an in-depth form of talk therapy underpinned by modern psychoanalytic principles and tools. Through this intensive self-examination, one can resolve longstanding personality conflicts which have gotten in the way of you being your best self. Whether you are suffering with depression, anxiety, addiction, disordered eating, or relationship/family problems, these can be addressed and you can find relief. We will examine the life patterns that are interfering with your happiness, and through addressing the underlying emotional conflicts, help you build on your strengths to change negative thoughts and behaviors.
I specialize in working with adolescents and adults, although I have experience with a wide range of client populations. I also have a unique background in the arts and often focus on the use of imagination and the creative process as part of client therapy. I welcome all clients, particularly those of the LGBTQI+ community.
