Christiana Zafiriadis, LMSW, Psychotherapist

Psychotherapist

Adults, Adolescents, & Couples

Supervisor: Sara Pinsky, LCSW-R

Greenpoint Location & Telehealth

Psychotherapy is a collaborative journey that invites curiosity and self-reflection: about our emotions, thoughts, behaviors, histories, and relationships. I work with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Together, we explore these experiences in a space where you feel seen, supported in moments of difficulty, and empowered to live more consciously and reflectively.

My approach is grounded in psychodynamic and relational therapy, which means we look at both present and past experiences to understand how early relationships and life stories shape current feelings, behaviors, and interpersonal patterns. I hold deep respect for the ways our social and political environments—along with race, class, gender, sexuality, family history, and culture—inform our mental health, self-concept, and personal development.

I enjoy working with anyone seeking an affirming and empowering space to explore identity, beliefs, and personal growth; including those working in academia, the arts, public service, and tech; LGBTQIA+ individuals; those navigating the immigration process; and parents or those on the path to parenthood.

With warmth, compassion, and curiosity, I offer a nonjudgmental space for you to explore your inner world. My goal is to help you tune into your inner voice, enhance emotional regulation, and navigate the specific challenges you face with greater clarity and resilience.

Christiana S. Zafiriadis, LMSW has a Masters degree from Silberman School of Social Work and a BA from Hunter College. Christiana is a child of immigrants and is fluent in Greek. Prior to becoming a therapist, Christiana worked as a creative director, art director, and graphic designer.
