My work as a therapist is grounded in the belief that real change happens in a relationship where people feel genuinely seen, not judged or diagnosed from a distance. I show up as a collaborator rather than an authority — someone walking alongside my clients as they make sense of their own experience, at their own pace. Rather than starting from what's "wrong," I work from a strengths-based lens, helping clients recognize and build on the capacities they already have so they can move through hard chapters with more self-trust, resilience, and a renewed sense of who they are.

I draw on a variety of modalities in session, including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work, and mindfulness-based approaches, along with a trauma-informed, culturally responsive lens throughout. I work with each client to find an approach that fits their particular needs, rather than applying a one-size-fits-all model.

I enjoy working with a diverse range of clients and have particular interest in supporting folks through postpartum, pregnancy, loss, infertility and navigating a new identity as a parent. I also have a long history working with  LGBTQI folks, and the impact of systemic and cultural factors on mental health and identity.

Christa Price, LMSW, has a Master of Social Work degree from the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. Prior to her clinical work, she spent nearly a decade in nonprofit leadership focused on housing insecurity and LGBTQ youth homelessness, and previously served as an Adjunct Professor at Silberman, teaching courses on community organizing and social work ethics.
