I think of therapy as a practice of stepping back and reflecting on the experiences of our lives. From that distance, we then have the opportunity to make intentional change. This process begins with noticing patterns in your thoughts, feelings, relationships, and ways of being—as well as where you tend to get stuck. It involves getting to know the many parts of yourself and what has shaped them. Throughout this exploratory work, we can also identify coping skills to manage particularly challenging situations.
I have worked with children, adolescents, and adults facing challenges of anxiety, depression, grief, and past trauma. My practice is informed by psychodynamic psychotherapy, mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
