Adults, Families, & Children
Whatever is going on in your life right now, you have taken a powerful step to creating your own transformations; you are here, on a therapy website, actively seeking out resources to better your life. I welcome you.
I am a licensed Social Worker and Child Life Specialist; I am trained in the human condition, helping individuals as they strive to grow and heal. In my work, I strive to meet patients wherever they are - through the tough times and the happy times, through the difficult memories and through the pleasant recollections. I help the people I work with hold space for their troubling experiences, process their traumatic histories and memories, and I walk alongside them as they create new realities.
I work primarily in the psychodynamic model, and in-depth approach informed by a curiosity about the fears, hopes, desires, conflicts, and other forces underlying our behavior. This allows us to find meaning, connect our past to our present, and discover the many layers that make up an individual and their personal dynamics. In addition, I incorporate a holistic approach to therapy, utilizing mindfulness, 12-step and spiritual concepts, and as well as psychodramatic techniques as needed.
My clients come from wide-ranging backgrounds; I see clients from across cultural origins, across different genders, across political aisles, and across religious creeds. I will bring to our work a unique understanding of how those personal factors impact life, and an appreciation for the power of culture, religion, and family in shaping our experiences and in alleviating - and contributing to - our suffering.
With my training and experience, I can be there to offer a supportive presence, an accepting and affirming environment, and a space where you can freely explore anything about yourself.
Whoever you are, wherever you've been, there's a safe, welcoming space for you in my office.
